The Market Cross in Ormskirk which was formerly the Disraelis was the chosen venue for West Lancashire, Mayor Nikky Hennessey to host a charity event in aid of raising money for those suffering from Alzheimer’s and Young Carers. The Mayor approached Artz personally to ask for some young talented performers to represent the Artz Centre and themselves on this special night open only to the Mayor and her invited guests. Accompanied by Artz Centre Director Mark Ashton, three students went along to perform at this prestigious event, Megan Sumner, Natalie Charles and Hannah Hill with her trusty guitar all performed songs from their successful year at the Artz Centre, the evening was a huge success and another event has already been pencilled in for December.
Director Mark Ashton said;
“It was a great night of entertainment and all for two great causes. Some fantastic young singers treated us to some great music from the last 50 years and a great time was had by all. I would like to thank the mayoress for the invitation and the opportunity.”
