These innovative cross-curricular workshops provide a creative alternative to the conventional history session. Our team use drama and performance to take students on a more colourful journey back in time.
The Artz History Workshops allow students to explore the emotions and feelings of our ancestors and act out some key moments from the past gaining a wider understanding of the topics in question.
This kinaesthetic style of learning works particularly well in history workshops as the students find it hard to connect and understand people and cultures in which they have no prior knowledge. These sessions allow them to step into the shoes of some of our favourite historical figures and explore the trials and tribulations of their historic past.
The workshops work really well along side the class room based sessions and are often used at the end as a culmination of what they have learned.
These are just some of the topics in which we have covered but they can be adapted to include any topic from our colourful past.
